As the Holocaust fades from living memory to history, we must ensure that it does not become just another page in a textbook. We are at a critical moment. In this moment, we need you, our Ambassador community. We need you to stand with us and work with us to safeguard the memory of the Holocaust and commit to standing up against antisemitism, ensuring the important lessons from the past are learnt today.

We have a programme of events, taking place throughout the UK, both online and in-person. These events aim to help you continue your education about the Holocaust, meet fellow Ambassadors, learn new skills, plan your own projects and find out more about the work of the Trust. Or, why not organise your own event in your community. We have a guide to help you get started, with ideas, inspiration and some practical help too!
It is a privilege to hear a Holocaust survivor give their testimony and something which many people don’t get the opportunity to witness. At the Trust, our Outreach Team can help arrange for a survivor to visit your school, university or workplace to give their testimony. This can be done either in-person or online. We mark important anniversaries such as Holocaust Memorial Day on 27th January, the liberation of Bergen-Belsen on 15th April and Yom HaShoah in April/May. Events are held throughout the UK to mark these anniversaries, and as an Ambassador, we welcome you to plan an event or project too. We have lots of ideas, suggestions and help for you, as well as some advice from other Ambassadors.
Held once a month, join us in reading and discussing a specifically chosen book. This is a wonderful way to engage with the Trust and to develop your knowledge of the Holocaust, while also getting the opportunity to meet authors and discuss your reflections with others. Get in touch to register your interest in joining and for more information. Why not also have a look at our reading lists, curated by our Education Team for the Ambassador community.
If you enjoy writing and would like to share your experience, why not put your thoughts on paper and write an article. These can be submitted to the Ambassador team to be published here at the Holocaust Educational Trust and why not contact your local newspaper or school newsletter to get your article published.
